Jones Air Environmental Policy "Jones Air's commitment is to its clients, the community and the environment. The company provides a service of rapid and efficient aerial application of seed, crop protection agents and fertilisers for agriculture in the St George and Dirranbandi regions and aircraft maintenance services to rural Queensland and New South Wales. All operations are carried out through compliance with the regulatory requirements, Jones Air environmental policies and procedures and community expectations and values. Long-term sustainability comes from the company's commitment to minimising any adverse impact on the environment and by continuously monitoring and improving the company's environmental performance. Jones Air considers its employees to be its greatest asset and accordingly, they are treated with the highest respect."
In August 2000 Jones Air was awarded ISO 14001 accreditation, being the first aerial agricultural company in the world to meet this standard. This is an environmental management system which demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement. Other aerial agricultural operators have seen the benefits this standard can bring, and a number of them are now undergoing the extensive implementation process.
